  I’m accustom to writing really great reviews for the people that work for me. Unfortunately, this one isn’t the case. I regret that I didn’t check this company out on any review sites or the BBB, which I normally do. I hired them to pull out some imitation marble sinks in three bathrooms and install Italian Carrera marble. When they were installed, I noticed something was off but couldn’t quite put my finger on it. The plumber came the next day to put the faucets and handles on. He discovered that on one of the sets of faucets that one of the handles was broken and the supply line going to the valve body on the hot side was damaged, and didn’t recommend using it for fear of leakage. He recommended getting a whole new faucet set. Also, on all four sink holes, the template that was used to drill the holes for the faucet spout was ¼” too close to the cold spout and didn’t line up with the drain. Consequently, when they put the faucets on, the faucets were not centered. They tried to center with the amount of space they had, but needed Kitchen and Granite to come back and re-drill. That meant I had to pay the plumber to undo what he had done and then redo it again. Kitchen and Granite claimed the plumber didn’t know what they were talking about and they could have lined it up. I also had a handyman/contractor installing a door for me here and he looked at it, measured it and confirmed that the center holes were NOT centered. (One sink I left with faucets uninstalled.) Kitchen and Granite came and re-drilled to accommodate all the faucets so the plumber could reinstall. I asked Kitchen and Granite to reimburse me for the faucets ($200) since they broke them. They told me they would only pay for the cost of replacing the handle ($38) because I didn’t give him enough time to get the part. (The lapse of time from the time the plumbers came the first time (Feb. 12) to the next time (Feb. 23) was eleven days. He took the broken parts with him on the 13th to investigate to see if he could get parts. He never let me know at any point that he could replace the parts. The last and fourth faucet was put in on the same day Kitchen and Granite came back. Also, the new sinks Kitchen and Granite installed were too deep for the original rough in plumbing and a whole new pop up assemble drain had to be installed in each sink. I had to wait for drain parts to be ordered for the last sink. Kitchen and Granite refused to pay for the disassembly of the faucets to re-drill the holes and reassemble. It cost me an extra $190 in labor costs because of Kitchen and Granite’s bad template and $200 new faucet set. Kitchen and Granite agreed on the phone to send me $200 after I called again, but I got a check in the mail for only $100. Even after it was all reassembled he claimed that my plumber (in business 40 years) didn’t know what he was talking about and he could have easily lined up the faucets. Pat was very argumentative and would never once admit that their template was off and apologize for the inconvenience it had caused me. He gave me the impression that it was “no big deal” and I was complaining over nothing…that no one would notice the faucet not being centered. My experience with Kitchen and Granite Imports was disappointing; cost me $3420 + extra money in labor and aggravation. I would never recommend them to anyone. I regret not doing a better job of researching them. I’ve read bad reviews on other sites since then. It was too bad. I was hoping for a great experience and the chance to write another great review.
